Localizing for International Audience

Background:

Snapfish is a web-based photo sharing and photo printing service. Trying to reach an international audience, I was apart of the team for leveraging US designs for international products. My tasks includine localizing US colorways, font, typography, and graphic assets for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Austrilia, New Zealand, England, and Ireland.

Objective:

To retain the intent, and original impact of the US designs, each product sku was to be recreated for the local audience.

Process

Copy is locally translated, and reformated into the design, with respect to design elements.
Stock images were to be update to relavent seasonal themes.(Beach vacation photos for Christmas cards for our southern hemisphere friends)

Execution

Over the course of my year working at Snapfish, I have localized over 100 designs, across 10 different countries.
